In reply to Tiffany. Kids don't remember what you buy them they remember the time you spend with them. Do your best to go on whatever outings you can manage with them, and that will stay with them much longer than "stuff".

Thank you I really needed to hear that.. I would sometimes question am i doing a good enough job as a single mother of 4. Their father can buy them things when I can’t, so that makes me feel bad.

Really good info. I went to elementary school with Michelle and specifically remember a field trip to your house to see your garden, and how fun it was to eat corn that you had grown. Funny that now I am a parent and wanting my child to have those kinds of memories. Glad I came across your site.
