Ask Deb Parent
Coaching
|
|
Are you a parent that
has read through the website and yet still cannot determine how to get
the results you would like with your children? If so, you may benefit from a
private coaching session with Deborah.
Parent Coaching is available
to parents that have a particular discipline problem and want advice. Do
you like Supernanny? Most
parents do, but the advice is too limited and not usually addressing your
specific needs.
So…forget the Nanny!
You, the parent, are the best expert on your child. With Deborah’s expertise and
assistance, you will discover just how rewarding and fun this can be.
Parent Coaching is
not counseling or psychotherapy.
If you feel you need counseling, please look in your local yellow
pages or ask your friends for a referral to a family therapist.

There are some steps you
can take to achieve the best results possible from your coaching session
with Deborah.
1.
Read through the website and other resources regarding your
particular discipline problem.
As many ideas that you have tried and failed will be helpful! That way, we know the things that
have not worked and we can get right down to a plan of action that is
different from anything you have tried already.
2.
Write me an email prior to our phone call with all the relevant
details. Please include your
marital status, ages and sexes of all children in the home, and some
details/observations about your child’s nature or personality in
general. Then tell me about
the problem area. Be both detailed and concise for the best results. I will read this over before we
talk and that way you won’t need to spend your time on these
details.
3.
Be open to new possibilities.
Often we parents get in a rut with our children and feel that we
have tried everything and that nothing will work. This is the greatest opportunity
to change our thinking! But
you need to make it a conscious choice.
4.
Look at this as a gift you are giving your self and your
family. I love parents and
parenting. I love to make it
fun and rewarding. The
struggles are often unnecessary. By choosing to reach out, you are
rewarding yourself with less stress and more time spent liking your
child. You child is rewarded
by learning to behave appropriately!
Parents actually do a disservice to their children by allowing
misbehavior to go on and on without intervention.
